Share My Testimony With Others
Jesus told those who had just put their faith in Him as the Savior to tell their story to those in their circles of influence (Mark 5:1-20, John 4:1-42). You too have a story to tell of how Jesus has saved you!
How can I develop my testimony?
It's actually easy to do. It just takes a bit of effort in getting started. You want to be able to tell your testimony in about two minutes, but still contain the most important details. Write two or three sentences describing:

-
My life before Jesus.
-
How I came to trust Jesus as my Savior.
-
My life as a result of trusting Jesus.

As you write your testimony, here are some considerations to keep in mind:
-
Make it conversational. (use informal language)
-
Avoid religious words and phrases.
-
Generalize so more people can identify with your story.
-
Include at least one􀀺 related Bible verse.
-
Add a transition statement at the end that will lead into a gospel conversation.

Practice, refine, and rewrite it. Memorize it and regularly review it so that you are always ready and it sounds natural when you tell it. Ask God for opportunities and conversations with those in your circle of influence in which you can share your testimony.
