3-10-24 The Rescuer - The Rescue
Romans 1:1-17 Paul takes the great commission personally and sets forth in expanding out from Jerusalem to "the ends of the earth." The obvious epicenter for such a mission is Rome, so he makes sure that the church in Rome has a strong foundation by focusing on the good news of Jesus Christ.

3-24-24 The Rescuer - God's Judgement is Just Right
Romans 2:1-16 We don't like the concept of hell, but it is a reality as described by God's Word (Revelation 14:11), but that is the consequence for sin. Paul continues to guide us through our problem as he describes God's perfect judgement.

4-7-24 The Rescuer - How Do We Make Things Right With God?
Romans 3 The most frightening thought for a Christian is meeting Jesus face to face as he described in Matthew 7 and his response being "I'm sorry, I never knew you." Paul finally gets to the good news of Romans here in chapter three... Jesus put himself in our place before God, as long as we don't push him out of the way.

4-14-24 The Rescuer - Saved By Faith Alone
Romans 4 The devil causes us to feel like putting our faith in Jesus can't be the only requirement for salvation... it must be Jesus + something else. Paul's audience tried to make it The Law. We try to make it religion, politics, or any number of other things. We learn today that faith hall-of-famers such as Abraham and David were great examples for us to follow.
