Proverbs 16:32, 25:28 Most of the bad things we see occurring around us are because of someone's anger. Anger is not in itself a bad thing... it is listed throughout the Bible as an attribute of God. It is right for us to be angry about the things that make God angry, but if the motive for our anger is about ourselves, we need to practice self-control.

Proverbs 27:14, 26:18-19 We are called to be a blessing to others, and most people think they are doing so. But what if our pleasant blessing annoys others? Peter gives some pointers on how to relate to other people and be a blessing to them.

Proverbs 6:6-11 The Bible has a lot to say about work, especially in Proverbs. Today we look at Solomon's comparison of the ant (resourceful, strong, hard-working) and the slug (slimy, slow, stubborn). God has always had work for us to do, even before sin made it more difficult, so we should make work a way of life and part of our mission.

Proverbs 29:25 The final message in this series looks at fear... maybe the better word in approval. Who do we want to please? If our priority it on earning approval from anyone but God, we are looking in the wrong place and in danger of being ensnared by the world. If our focus is on pleasing God, His love and approval becomes our refuge, or protection, from the disapproval of the world.
