Giving financial offerings to God is an act of worship (Proverbs 3:9). By doing so we honor God and remember that He has graciously provided all we possess. Tithing (giving 10% of income) also reminds us of our need to depend on trustworthy God. 

 

How can I begin to tithe regularly? 

 

• Do so cheerfully (2 Cor. 9:7-8) and make it my aim to honor God. 

• Consider my pay cycle and make it a habit to give each time I am paid. I will work to give more as my resources 
  increase. 

• Normally my offerings should be given to the church where I worship. Doing so supports the total work of my church in making disciples who make disciples. 

• I can give during the worship services when the offering plate is passed, or electronically online.
