Testimonies
- A church attender, building a relationship with an employee at Circle K, discovered a physical need at her new friend’s home. This friend is presently grieving the loss of her brother and has no one to help with outside clean-up. Alerted to the need, The Burnes Small Group responded with a group of men and women who helped clean up the yard and dispose of the fallen trees.
- A student lost his home to a house fire. Immediately two student small group leaders went and spent the evening with the family helping them with temporary shelter. Students gathered for worship that night collected over $100 for the family; multiple families have set aside furniture to give to the family once they have located a suitable home.
- EBC College students go each Sunday after worship to the Caddo Parish Courthouse and feed a group of 30-40 homeless a meal; they also help them with clothing as well as encouragement.
- A Church family has provided a temporary home for a man who has lost his job and has no place to live. Their camper is parked at the church so the man will have a place to live, cook and connect to his children while he is without a permanent job/home.
